Dr. Cholleta Menja, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CCTS, SANE, BHP, Licensed Financial Advisor Chief Administrator – Great Valley Behavioral Homes (GVBH)

Dr. Cholleta Menja is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to expanding access to behavioral health and substance use treatment services. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona and also completed her Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner certification through the University of Arizona.

Dr. Menja began her healthcare career in direct care roles as a respite provider, later becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and Behavioral Health Technician before advancing into professional nursing and psychiatric practice. She has clinical experience across diverse healthcare settings including medical-surgical units, crisis stabilization services, medication-assisted treatment clinics, and psychiatric hospitals. These experiences shaped her commitment to providing compassionate, accessible, and recovery-oriented behavioral health care.

She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with advanced training in trauma-informed care and the treatment of trauma-related conditions. Her clinical approach emphasizes meeting individuals where they are and providing evidence-based psychiatric care that supports stability and long-term recovery.

Dr. Menja is the founder of Great Valley Behavioral Homes and Great Valley Telepsychiatry and a cofounder of Great Tower Recovery, an integrated clinic focused on coordinated behavioral health and substance use treatment. As Chief Administrator of Great Valley Behavioral Homes, she provides organizational leadership, clinical oversight, and psychiatric support to both clients and staff while remaining actively engaged in daily operations.

Dr. Menja works alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality care and creating environments that support healing, stability, and long-term recovery for the individuals and communities they serve.

Dr. Marshall Umoren, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a distinguished background in healthcare. With experience ranging from Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to Registered Nurse (RN), and now as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) specializing in psychiatric mental health, Dr. Umoren brings a wealth of expertise to his role.

As Clinical Director at Great Valley Behavioral Homes, Dr. Umoren is renowned for his compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. He is committed to ensuring accessibility for both patients and support staff, being available 24/7 to provide guidance and support whenever needed. His leadership within acute psychiatric hospitals has been marked by innovative strategies to improve patient outcomes and promote staff well-being.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Umoren enjoys engaging in recreational activities such as soccer, chess, and Scrabble, showcasing his diverse interests and talents. He is deeply committed to community advocacy and education, working tirelessly to reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues and improve access to quality care.

Prior to her role as Patient Care Coordinator at Great Valley Behavioral Homes, Milka served as a Program Director at Sevita and Tungland Corporation, where she honed her skills in program management and healthcare administration.

In her current capacity, Milka works under the supervision of Dr. Cholleta Menja, the Administrator, and Dr. Marshall Umoren, the Clinical Director, at Great Valley Behavioral Homes. Together with Dr. Menja and Dr. Umoren, Milka plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication and coordination among healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

Milka’s responsibilities as Patient Care Coordinator include overseeing appointment scheduling, coordinating treatment plans, and assisting patients with navigating insurance matters. Her compassionate advocacy and dedication to delivering patient-centered care contribute to enhancing the overall patient experience at Great Valley Behavioral Homes.
